I: When you read the script, how did you imagine your character to be? How did you present it to yourself?
Torrey: Oh god…it really happened so fast. I got called the night before I was supposed to shoot…so I really didn’t have much time to really think anything. But I thought she was really cool, really strong, like a kick-ass girl character to play. And I was excited to play a doctor.
Paul (interrupting her): What about the doctor-patient excercises we practice?
Torrey: Well….hmmmm (they both crack up)
Paul (pretending to be a sick patient): Help me. I’m so sick.
Torrey: Always the damsel in distress.
Paul (laughing): I am. I am. It’s too easy to play it coz you are always ready to help me….with my issues.
Torrey: That is true. So true. I am a doctor in my personal life for him.
Paul: You are able to apply your personal life to the screen.
Torrey: What I really had to do more prep on was working with Paul Wesley. I didn’t know how to get my mind-
Paul (cockily): Well, I can be very intimidating.
Torrey: It made me very nervous.
Paul: I don’t blame you.
Torrey: I didn’t know if I would be able to handle it, so that was the most prep I had to do.
Paul: Most people, when they work opposite me, they look at me and they forget their lines.
Torrey: Actually, you are not allowed to look at him. That’s the weird part.
Paul: They are so taken by me that they don’t know…they go ‘Ahhh’ (pretending to freeze open-mouthed) And I have to go like ‘It’s okay. I know. I know.’
